RAIN OR SHINE

On October 8th, join us for the second SOME RUN 5K for A-T! EVERYONE is invited.

Choose either our challenging run, enjoyable walk, or scenic shuffle around the pond. Prizes will be given to top males and females!

This event benefits the A-T Children’s Project. Ataxia-telangiectasia (A-T) is a rare, genetic disease causing a relentless loss of muscle control, immune system problems, and a strikingly high rate of cancer. Some run, some walk, some roll, some ride and some shuffle, but we all make a difference.

Reduced hotel rates available at Best Western Executive Inn at 972-287-9100. Free Star Transit shuttle will provide transportation to the race.

Race Info

Races start at Bruce Central Park in Seagoville.

Run – Starts at 8:00 am

(Timed 5K. Participants will be given race bibs with chips to track time.)

Walk/roll 5K – Follows the run at 8:00 am

(Untimed – participants will have the option to roll their way along the path. Participants will be given unchipped bibs.)

Shuffle – STARTS AT 8:15 AM

(Untimed, leisurely 0.5 mile stroll around the pond. Participants will be given unchipped bibs.)

Packet pick-up

Registrants will be required to pick up their packets prior to the event at the Some Run Booth at the park. Packets will include an event t-shirt, race bib, race medal and a Some Run button.

Volunteer

Our volunteers are what make this event so special and we invite those who won’t be participating in a race to volunteer! All volunteers will be provided with a free volunteer t-shirt.

Volunteer Registration

Volunteers will meet near the gazebo at Bruce Central Park. Volunteers will be given their shirts there. Free coffee provided by Starbucks.

Prizes

CASH PRIZES will be awarded to the overall fastest male or female runners in the timed 5K run.

1st place – $1,000 cash prize

2nd place – $500 cash prize

3rd place – $250 cash prize

gift card prizes will also be awarded to the overall 1st, 2nd & 3rd fastest RUNNERS in the timed 5k!
