Ever since I was diagnosed with A-T in 1998 when I was 3, my family & friends have raised money for the A-T Children’s Project to help find a cure or treatment for A-T. Countless people have participated in walks, golf tournaments, & marathons on my behalf. After another adult A-T patient like me did a fundraiser last winter, I’ve also wanted to do something. I love that people raise money on my behalf, but I really feel like I am ready to raise money for the A-T Children’s Project on my own.

My goal is to raise enough money so the A-T Children’s Project can fund more research to find a cure or treatment for A-T. I’d like to encourage you to join my Giving Circle. If you commit to just $10/month, that will help the A-T Children’s Project make a difference in the lives of A-T patients everywhere.

Thank you for supporting me.

Sincerely, Emily

Imagine a disease that combines the worst symptoms of muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, cystic fibrosis, immune deficiencies, and cancer. Children with A-T are usually confined to wheelchairs by age 10 and often do not survive their teens. Because A-T is a multi-system disease, scientists believe that A-T research will help more prevalent diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, AIDS, and cancer.
